ICCS hosts SoftGrip Plenary Meeting in Athens

ICCS Meeting July 2023

The latest SoftGrip plenary meeting took place in Athens between July 10-11. It was hosted by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). The two-day meeting offered plenty of time for the consortium (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, TWI Hellas, Institute of Communication and Computer Systems, University of Essex, Teagasc Agriculture and Food Development Authority, Mitsui Chemicals Europe GmbH) to come together and examine the current state of the project, discuss the developments of the various SoftGrip technologies as well as decide on future actions, following workshops and meetings.

Besides the standard meeting specifics, ICCS organised an extensive lab tour of the ICCS/NTUA premises. Professor Papadopoulos, Associate Professor Tzafestas and Professor Maragos led the tour, discussed past innovations, showcased ongoing research and the latest prototypes regarding intelligent robotics, electrical engineering, automation, computer vision and mechatronics.

Many thanks to ICCS-NTUA for hosting the meeting days and the interesting lab tour, which was a great closure to the latest SoftGrip gathering!
